Welcome!
Meet Soula Zaharopoulos, MSW, LISW-CP
At Mind Up Counseling, healing begins within—where mind, body, and soul align to create a more peaceful, fulfilling life. I’m Soula Zaharopoulos, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LISW-CP) with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re managing multiple roles, caring for others, or facing transitions like divorce or loss, I’m here to support you in restoring clarity, balance, and well-being.
Together, we’ll address the root causes of anxiety, depression, and mood-related challenges, and work toward a more grounded and empowered version of yourself.
My Experience and Approach
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings, each shaping the compassionate and practical approach I bring to therapy:
State Psychiatric Hospital – Provided crisis intervention and long-term therapeutic support
Community Mental Health Center – Performed triage to assess client needs and connect them to the right resources
Private Practice – Delivered individualized counseling for emotional and psychological challenges
Hospice Care – Offered compassionate support through grief, caregiving, and end-of-life transitions
I take an integrative, whole-person approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strength-based strategies, and client-centered care. This allows us to tailor therapy to your emotional, mental, and physical needs.
We’ll work on shifting unhelpful thought patterns (CBT), staying present (mindfulness), and tapping into your natural strengths to build resilience. Therapy will move at your pace and reflect your goals, in a safe and judgment-free space.

On a Personal Note
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our lovable Yorkiepoo, who never fails to brighten my day. I stay grounded through walking, yoga, and group fitness classes—all of which reinforce my deep belief in the mind-body-soul connection, a cornerstone of my counseling style.
